Performance Digital Marketing

Websites & Landing Pages — the foundation for advertising and customer acquisition

A website should do more than simply look modern and attractive.

Its main purpose is to explain the business offer, build trust and guide users towards the desired action.

This could be an enquiry, phone call, booking, purchase, message or another target action.

When creating a website or landing page, I start with the structure, marketing objective and potential customer journey rather than the design.

The website is treated as part of an integrated performance system alongside advertising, SEO, analytics and content.

When you need a website or landing page

A landing page works well for promoting a specific service, product, advertising campaign or special offer.

When a business runs Google Ads or Meta Ads, a dedicated landing page can connect the advertising and the offer as closely as possible.

A full website suits businesses that need to present multiple services, explain the company and showcase projects, case studies, reviews, the team and other areas.

The right website structure can differ significantly between e-commerce, local businesses, B2B and professional services.

The right solution therefore always depends on the specific objective.

Structure and user journey

Users should quickly understand where they are, what is being offered and why they should continue engaging.

That is why the page is structured in a clear, logical sequence.

First, the offer is made clear; then services and benefits are explained, proof is presented, potential questions are addressed and the next step is offered.

It is important not to overwhelm users with unnecessary information while still giving them enough to make a decision.

Every section should have a clear purpose and help move the user through the page.

Websites for Google Ads and Meta Ads

Landing page quality directly affects advertising performance.

You can generate high-quality advertising traffic and still lose potential customers after they reach the website.

If a page loads slowly, is difficult to use on mobile, explains the offer poorly or fails to build trust, the advertising budget will be used less efficiently.

That is why I consider where traffic will come from and what action users should take when building the website.

For Google Ads, the relevance of the landing page to the search query is particularly important.

For Meta Ads, the landing page should continue the idea of the ad creative immediately and maintain user interest after the click.

Mobile experience

A large share of users access websites through smartphones.

That is why the mobile version should not be a simplified copy of the desktop version.

It should be convenient, clear and properly adapted to a smaller screen.

Text, buttons, forms, images, menus and other elements should work without forcing users to zoom, search for contact details or struggle with the interface.

Forms and calls to action

Every website should provide a clear next action.

This could be a button such as "Request a consultation", "Send an enquiry", "Book an appointment", "Buy" or "Call", or a direct link to a messenger.

Forms should collect only the information genuinely needed for the first contact.

If a form is too long or complicated, some users simply will not complete it.

That is why calls to action and forms are an important part of a page's marketing structure.

SEO and technical foundation

When building a website, future SEO optimisation should be considered from the start.

Page structure, headings, URLs, internal linking, loading speed and the mobile version affect how both users and search engines experience the website.

Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking are also planned for from the outset.

This avoids having to rebuild the technical foundation after launch.

The website as part of performance digital marketing

The website sits at the centre of most digital marketing channels.

Google Ads brings search traffic to the website. Meta Ads sends users there after they engage with an ad creative. SEO generates organic visits. Google Analytics shows what users do afterwards.

That is why a website should not exist separately from the marketing strategy.

I build the structure around how traffic will reach the website and what action a potential customer should ultimately take.

Result

The main purpose of a website or landing page is to turn user attention into a specific action.

A good website should be clear, fast, mobile-friendly and ready for advertising, SEO and analytics.

My goal is not simply to create an attractive page, but a working marketing tool that helps the business generate more enquiries, sales and customers.
