Performance Digital Marketing

Google Ads — reach customers when they are already searching

Google Ads lets you reach people precisely when they already have an active interest in a product or service. They are searching on Google, comparing options and evaluating offers — which puts them much closer to an enquiry or purchase than a random website visitor.

That makes Google Ads particularly effective where there is clear search demand: services, local businesses, e-commerce, real estate, construction, healthcare, automotive, B2B and other sectors where potential customers actively use Google to find a solution.

Within performance marketing, I do not treat Google Ads as an isolated advertising platform. It is part of a wider system: ads bring the user in, the website must convert that interest effectively, and analytics must show which campaigns, search terms and ads actually deliver results.

What Google Ads is suited for

The core purpose of Google Ads is to attract relevant traffic and turn it into enquiries, calls, bookings or sales.

Campaigns can promote a specific service, a product category, a new area of the business or the full product range of an online store.

For local businesses, Google Ads reaches people who are actively looking for the right service in their area. Online stores can use both search and product-based campaigns. In B2B, advertising can reach companies already looking for a supplier, service provider or professional solution.

Google Ads formats I use

Depending on the business and objective, I may use Search campaigns, Performance Max, remarketing, Google Shopping and other formats.

Search advertising is especially valuable when someone expresses a specific need and expects to find a solution immediately.

Performance Max can combine several Google advertising placements and form part of a broader campaign structure.

Google Shopping is designed for online stores and can show a product image, price and other relevant information before the user even visits the website.

Remarketing helps re-engage people who have already visited the website and explored products or services but have not yet completed the desired action.

How I work with Google Ads

The work starts not with launching ads, but with analysing the business, offer, website and current marketing situation.

First, we need to understand exactly what is being sold, to whom, which areas matter most and which user actions count as a meaningful result.

From there, I build the campaign structure and select relevant search terms, ads, ad groups and landing pages.

The next step is analytics and conversion tracking. Without reliable measurement, it is impossible to assess advertising performance properly.

I look beyond clicks and average cost per click. What matters to the business is how many enquiries, calls, purchases or other meaningful conversions a campaign generates — and what those results cost.

Optimisation and scaling

Once campaigns are live, the ongoing work with data begins.

I analyse search terms, ads, keywords, devices, geography, time of day, audiences and other relevant factors.

Underperforming areas are gradually reduced, while the campaigns that work receive more attention and budget.

The goal is not simply to increase traffic, but to improve its quality over time and identify where advertising creates the strongest business result.

Google Ads works best when it is connected to Google Analytics, accurate conversion tracking and strong landing pages.

That is why I manage Google Ads as part of a performance digital marketing system where decisions are based on data and real customer behaviour.

Result

A well-structured Google Ads setup should give the business clear answers: where customers come from, which searches generate enquiries or sales, what each result costs, and which areas can be scaled further.

My goal is to build Google Ads into a measurable customer-acquisition and growth channel, rather than simply a source of clicks.
